If you’ve ever tried eating your iPhone, firstly you’re a fool, but secondly it probably didn’t taste very nice. One poster from the freebiejeebies forums has posted pictures of some iPhone cupcakes that were created as an entry to the cupcake decorating championship form Ignite NYC.

The cakes look very well made, each cupcake iced to be a replica of a different icon from the iPhone’s home screen. Oddly the cake itself is black, a very fitting color for the subject but I can’t help but wonder what they must taste like but I’m sure they can’t be that bad. Nick and Danielle Bilton, the creators of these cupcakes actually won the cupcake decorating championship they were originally made for.

There have been many more iPhone cakes ranging from generation 1 to the new iPhone 4 so the idea probably can’t be considered too original but they have done a great job making these none the less.
